Timothy Klugh, of the Scioto Ward, is developing an Easter Chamber Cantata and needs talented members who want to participate as singers and actors. He writes:
The Cantata is an original music/vocal work called "Trilogy," which tells the life of Jesus Christ through Mother Mary's eyes. The lyrics were written by a local poet named Nancy Lincoln (from Linworth, Ohio.) The music I composed and orchestrated in my little studio here in Grove City, Ohio. The Easter Chamber Cantata has already been in development for a year now in regards to the music being composed. Even now, the final movement of "Trilogy" (covering the Resurrection of Christ) is still be composed. In January of this year, the stage production started. I am currently working with Bro. Roberts of the Stake in trying to turn this into a Stake level project. We have a few wonderful members of the Scioto Ward who are already involved as actors and singers, but most of the roles have not been filled yet. We need adult women (and especially adult men) and also young adults ages 16 and older. If a young adult is involved in the show, I ask that one of the parents be involved as well.
REHEARSALS for the Easter Chamber Cantata are on Tuesday evenings (from 7 PM - 9 PM) in the Cultural Hall of the Scioto (Grove City) Chapel [2400 Red Rock Blvd, Grove City, Ohio, 43123]. The DRESS REHEARSAL will take place in the Stage/Gymnasium of the Columbus Ohio Stake Center [1001 Doherty Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43119] on Saturday, April 9th from 7 PM - 10 PM. The PERFORMANCES will be on both Friday, April 15th and Saturday, April 16th at 7:30 PM at the Columbus Ohio Stake Center.
