Ward Vision for 2011

The bishop shared some of his goals for the ward in our ward conference on Sunday:

Salvation of Souls

1. Accurate Records
    a. Reach out to all members to ensure correct records - via personal visits, phone calls or letters.
    b. Utilize quorum presidencies as finders for new records.
    c. Encourage members to obtain an lds.org account and utilize all the technology tools provided by the church. Lds.org, enhanced mapping, mormon.org profiles, Mormon messages, etc.

2. Build Zion
    a. Expand personal friendships, be a good neighbor, discover the "pet pig" that lives next door.
b. Specifically reach out to less active members and minister to them. Melchizedek priesthood and full-time missionary visits twice monthly.
    c. Look for opportunities to become involved in the community.

3. Improve the quality and frequency of Home Teaching and Visiting teaching
    a. Eliminate 0% home teaching (visiting teaching) companionships, work with these individuals to find a way for at least one visit per month.
    b. Increase the percentage of families visited per month per companionship.
    c. Quorum presidents to interview home teachers quarterly, encourage recurring appointments/schedules.
    d. Become a minister to these families.

Let's work together in helping the Lord accomplish his "work and glory" - to bring to pass the salvation of souls.
