A message from the Church missionary department

The Church strongly encourages members to use the Internet for good purposes, including sharing our testimonies and our faith in Jesus Christ. Recently, the Church sent out a message to leaders asking them to:
  • Encourage their members to visit Mormon.org, become familiar with the way the site seeks to communicate with nonmember visitors, and, if they desire, add their own profiles (by clicking on Our People at the top of the home page or by going to Mormon.org/create).
  • Encourage members to use their own social networking activities on the Internet (blogs, Facebook, Twitter, and so on) to show others how their faith in the Savior influences the way they approach the challenges and opportunities of daily life. Members with blogs or other social networking sites could be encouraged to link to Mormon.org and to share video clips or other media.
If you haven't visited Mormon.org recently, check it out. The site has been newly redesigned this year, in connection with the Church's new media campaign. The website tells visitors:

"While our backgrounds and experiences are diverse, Mormons are united by a commitment to Jesus Christ. This site features Mormons sharing their stories and telling what their faith means to them."
