The 4th annual Leap for the Ligers 5K race benefiting the young men of Boy Scout Troop 449 will be held on Monday, September 7, 2009 (Labor Day) at Griggs Reservoir (click here for map & directions). Thanks to you, the Leap for the Ligers race has turned into a great community and family event while reminding us the importance of being fit, active and a bit more charitable.
We invite all runners, walkers and donors to register again this year by visiting the race website at www.leapfortheligers.org and simply clicking on the “Register” button. As always, you can still register by going to www.active.com and typing in the words “Leap for the Ligers” in the search box. Also, if you decide to register by filling out the attached brochure, please send your registration form and money to Michael Dehner at 2363 Limestone Way, Columbus OH 43228.
The entry fee is $20.00 which will insure you a spot in the race, a t-shirt designed by the boys of troop 449 and other goodies. Packet pick-up for this year’s race will begin at 8:00 a.m. with the race starting promptly at 9:00 a.m. As always, there will be prizes awarded to the top finishers in their age group. Feel free to invite your friends and family to this wonderful community event. We hope to see everyone there.
